Parallel
Constant Wattage heating cable consists of two parallel nickel
coated copper bus wires
encased in a Fluoropolymer insulated jacket with Ni-Cr heating
resistance wire wrapped arround
the jacket. At specific intervals, The Ni-Cr heating element is
soldered to bus wires, Forming a
line of parallel resistance modules. When power is applied to the
bus wires, Each resistance
module heats at a rated wattage output. This creats a consistant
wattage heating cable.
*Series
constant wattage heating cable

Series Constant Wattage heating cable consist of
one or more resistance heating conducts connected to an
electric power supplier. The available voltage is dropped across the
electric resistance
Represented by the series heater obeying Ohms law and resulting in a
heating effect. The circuit length
and the process temperature determine the operating resistance of
the conduct. Series Constant Wattage
heating cable is used where circuit length exceeds the limitation of
the Parallel Constant Wattage
heating cable or hight temperature exposure is required.
